This is disgusting and I am not liking it! Why are the users doing such things???

I'm leaving and this seems like the best place to say goodbye, I have had a great time these last few months. Manifold has been an extraordinarily welcoming community and I am glad I was a part of it. I'm not leaving because of the pivot I just grew tired of the site. I think that the pivot will be good for manifold and I hope to eventually come back for real money betting. I will miss this site and will probably check in often for news or to resolve markets. I hope Manifold keeps its community through the pivot. I've had an amazing time, I would be a different person if I didn't find this site I hope it succeeds.

Can this be extended pass May 16? As per "Market closes a few days after the pivot is complete."

@jBosc i changed my mind from waiting too long, to prevent people from donating all their mana, then buying more to burn and manipulate this. it wouldnt be in the spirit of immolation. im also raising the cost to 20k when the changes go through. maybe i should cut it off right when the pivot happens?

@Ziddletwix ok but knowing them, that could be anytime on the 14th-16th lol, so i guess ill be ending this at a random time of my choice within 24h after it actually goes through

I think donating makes more sense. You are doing a thing and making manifold pay for it with their money - it seems like a more efficient protest.

@SavioMak I am a volunteer at this charity, and I know how they operate on a shoestring; nobody gets paid except for the teachers at the school. Board members are constantly pitching in with their own money to keep it going and grow.

In addition, graduates of this school are earning academic scholarships to US and other universities, so the investment in education gets multiplied many times.

@Ziddletwix I saw the original preview, which accused the users of being the ones screwing manifold, and not vv.

@Najawin yes unsurprisingly given a few days they have significantly improved their comms strategy lol (which was disastrous at the start—although all of that is fully separate from me being against these changse)

@Ziddletwix This is slightly better, reading through it, but it still keeps 90-95% of the disastrous changes. I really don't see how they think this solves the problems people have.

@Najawin yes I only mean the comms are improved it doesn’t change all the reasons of substance I’m very against the pivot
